This morning is a quick stop at Hat Creek Resort for a shower and to wash some truly disgusting clothing. Someone ask me later about the term “hiker tie-dye”.
I hit the halfway stretch this week (1325 miles), which means I should be down to my last 2 months at current pace. Yesterday was my best mileage yet at 29.

Lassen was beautiful, though contrary to Guthook comments, there was not a bear hiding behind every tree. Didn’t see any, for that manner. Higher elevations were a smoky mess, which improved with climbing down.

Water is starting to be an issue, with longer carries. I may need to go back to the 4 one liter bottles.

29 miles a day that’s impressive. Great Pictures! thanks for sharing

Congrats on making it to the halfway mark – truly an accomplishment. You will FLY through Oregon (assuming no wildfires).
